Important Information for Dentists and Patients

 

We ask that Dentists and Patients please be aware of the following prior to Dental Surgery.

 

There are three parties that will require payment for each procedure:

 

1. South East Day Surgery - Theatre and Accommodation

2. Central Highlands Anaesthetic Associates - General Anaesthetic

3. Dentist - Fee for Dental Procedure

 

• Theatre and Accommodation Fees at South East Day Surgery cannot be claimed from Medicare or Private Health Insurance.

 

• Anaesthetic fees cannot be claimed from Private Health Insurance.  However, once a patient reaches their safety net they can claim up to 80% of these fees from Medicare.

 

• Patients will be scheduled to arrive 1 hour prior to the procedure.

 

• Anaesthetic fees are charged on a time basis.  If the procedure runs over time, the patient will be charged extra.  This will be explained to the patient and their carer after the procedure.

 

• We recommend all dentists visit our facility prior to the procedure day to familiarise themselves with our theatre and equipment.
